The River Inn sits on one of the most beautiful stretches of the Truckee River — a rare place where rolling hills, wildlife, bird watching, rafting, hiking, and some of the best fishing on the river all come together. It is quiet, wild, and unforgettable — the kind of place outdoor lovers feel the moment they arrive.
After learning more about the City and County’s vision for river access, trails, recreation, and open space, we created a proposal to show how the River Inn could be part of that bigger picture.
Our hope was to explore a respectful partnership that could allow the community to enjoy the river, fishing, walking trails, history, wildlife, and natural beauty of the property while still protecting the land, the river, and private ownership.
This plan was created with care, research, and love for Reno’s past, present, and future.
Please feel free to download and read the proposal below.
We know many people love the Truckee River and the history of this property. Because the River Inn is private property, we ask visitors to use our simple river crossing agreement so access is safe, respectful, and clear for everyone. The $1 agreement helps protect the property, the river, and the people who enjoy it.
